The whole house was filled with the rich aroma of home-baking, that nostalgic, heady blend of citrus and cinnamon that made everything seem warmer and brighter. As wonderful as the scent was, it was no match for pushing open the kitchen door to find Kate, her lustrous blond mane swept back from her beautiful feline features, finishing up her baking. Even in sweatpants and a plaid shirt of red and grey checks she was a vision of loveliness, a relaxed domestic cooking up a treat. Her pink lips parted in a welcoming smile.“I hope you have an appetite for something sweet,” she grinned.
